Happy March Everyone!

I am so excited that spring is just around the corner. We celebrated our first week of March with celebrating wonderful Dr. Seuss.  We had the best time wearing silly socks, wearing crazy clothes and hair, wearing their favorite hat, wearing mustaches  Wow! what a fun week.

    

 

 

 

Did you know (eternal snacking)?
Pringles innovator was buried in a Pringles can. Fred Bauer, the Procter & Gamble employee who devised the idea of stacking Pringles into cans, eschewed an urn upon his death and instead asked that his family bury him in one his signature cans.

Peek In The Classroom:

This boy drew an outline of the human body. Then he drew, colored, cut, and pasted his drawings of internal organs. He thought of this all on his own. And he is darn serious about his work. Look at his expression.

 

This girl has completed the Geometry section of the classroom. She knows a plethora of shapes and knows there are three angles, acute, obtuse, and right. She is holding an obtuse/scalene/triangle.

 

Kinders working on their phonics workbook.

 

These two made their creation from the Pink Tower and Brown Stair. This is called an extension. Extensions are activities that are introduced after the initial presentation with a material, in order to encourage the child to re-visit the material and solidify the skills and/or concepts it’s designed to provide. This is a perfect example of an extension.

Weekly Theme: This week we learned how to tell time to the  half hour/analog, hands and such.

We practiced writing sentences in cursive.
