IT IS GOOD TO BE BACK !!!

Thee Buckeye Room Bulletin

Line Time:
We talked about how our plans may be interrupted, changed, or cancelled. Basically, sometimes things do not go the way we planned them and when that happens we have to adjust and make the best of the situation. We went over new things at the new school and learned where the classrooms and more importantly the restrooms are located. Ahhhh, those life lessons at such a young age.

Did You Know?:
Are you a fan of The Office? Do you bop your head when the theme songs comes on? Well, originally the theme song was to be “Better Things” by The Kinks. This is one of my all time fave songs because it is so full of hope and good wishes. FYI… I saw The Kinks on this tour circa 1984. Bonus- name two artists that either did a cover or sang this song with The Kinks.

This student is working on the Moveable Alphabet. The key purpose of the Moveable Alphabet is to prepare children for writing, reading, and spelling. The child’s use of the material progresses from single words, to phrases, and eventually to stories. In this way, the Moveable Alphabet teaches children how to symbolize their own thoughts, and begin to write creatively.
She is learning her consonant blends.
She is working on Color Box 3. The purpose is to help children develop their sense of color discrimination. Also, she has to match the shade then grade the shade from lightest to darkest. This skill will help her with recognition of symbols in Language and Math. Notice the photobomb?
