Lower Elementary Directress | Birch Classroom | Absorbent Minds Montessori School
Dawn Frantz serves as the Lower Elementary Directress of the Birch Classroom at Absorbent Minds Montessori School. As an experienced Montessori teacher in Stow, Ohio, Dawn brings a strong background in Montessori education, public schools, early childhood education, and student intervention. She is passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Experience as a Montessori Teacher
Dawn is a graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K–3rd Grade) from Malone University.
She later continued her education in the Montessori method and earned her Elementary Montessori teaching certificate through the University of Nebraska. Her traditional teacher preparation and Montessori training give Dawn a broad educational perspective. Together, these experiences shape her approach to child development, learning, and individualized instruction.
Throughout her career, Dawn has worked with children in a variety of educational settings. Her experience includes child care, public school systems, and Montessori schools. Within public education, she has served in several roles, including teacher’s aide, classroom teacher, and intervention specialist.
Through these experiences, Dawn has worked with children with a variety of learning needs and abilities. They also contribute to her commitment to recognizing each child as an individual and helping students progress from their own unique starting points.
Supporting Lifelong Learners
Dawn has a genuine passion for teaching and helping children grow into lifelong learners. In the Montessori elementary classroom, she values the opportunity for students to take an active role in their education while developing responsibility, curiosity, and confidence.
As the Lower Elementary Directress of the Birch Classroom, Dawn works to create a classroom community where students feel supported and challenged. She enjoys helping children strengthen their academic skills while also developing the independence and perseverance that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
Beyond the Classroom
Dawn’s experience working with children also extends into athletics. She has coached both softball and cheerleading, giving her another opportunity to encourage children as they develop skills, teamwork, confidence, and perseverance.
As a Montessori teacher in Stow, Ohio, Dawn is proud to be part of the Absorbent Minds Montessori School community and to guide Lower Elementary students through these important years of academic and personal growth
