Afternoon Group Time:

Ms. Ame will be doing a variety of crafts, and demonstrations that have to do with following classroom rules and respecting one another.

1/9: Hibernation

What is Hibernation?
The children will be learning about hibernation, adaptation, and migration
Reading the book Animals In Winter and then incorporating an activity that goes along with the book
Same and different activity
learning a hibernation song

Afternoon Group Time:

Ms. Ame will be doing a variety of fun and engaging activity and crafts on hibernation.

1/16: Martin Luther King Jr.

Egg experiment ( showing the children how we may look different on the outside, but we are the same in the inside
I have A dream video and activity
All about Rosa Parks with activity

Afternoon Group Time:

Ms. Ame will be teaching all about Martin Luther King Jr. She will be reading informative books, and having the children make some fun crafts!

1/23: The Artic and Polar Pals

Afternoon Group Time:

Ms. Ame will be doing a variety od crafts, books, and lessons on Artic Animals

Letters of the Week: Try to find objects that begin with each letter wherever you go with your child.

Things to do at home this month to reinforce our themes:

.Take a trip to the library and find books on hibernation. Draw all of the animals that you find in the books!
When reading together try to find words that start with our letter of the week.
Make Arctic animal sock puppets
See who can come up with the most words from our rhyming words of the week!
